NY Post: Electronic Arts ‘Quietly Exploring A Sale’

News

Well, this is unusual. According to mysterious “sources” who spoke with the New York Post, Electronic Arts may possibly be seeking a buy out. Potential buyers include KKR and Providence Private Equity Partners. While this should be taken lightly and talks are in the early stages, Providence Equity Partners does own a partial take in Bethesda parent company Zenimax Media.

Both Providence¬†Equity Partners,¬†KKR, and EA declined to comment on the matter by basically confirming it. All in all, does it really matter? It’s obvious that EA is currently run by people who know more about increasing profits and less about making gamers happy like other studious out there such as Valve. It’s not like things can get any worse.
